To send a picture as a snap, you don’t need to use a filter. You need to use to remix feature available on Snapchat and no one will know that it’s a fake snap.
How To Fake A Snap or Send A Picture As A Snap Without Filters
For anyone wondering, I have tried this on an Android phone as well as an iPhone with multiple accounts. Without fail, I’ve been able to fake a snap and send a picture as a snap without them knowing.
To fake a snap and send an old photo as a snap on Snapchat, follow the steps below :
Open the Snapchat app and make sure you are on the camera section of the app. By default, it’s on camera mode.
Tap on the icon that looks like an image on the left side of the camera shutter button. Please see the below screenshot for reference.
Since you are trying to send an old picture as a snap, open the “Camera Roll” section and find the photo you would like to use to fake a snap to someone else.
The photo or picture will expand and open on a new page, in the top-right corner of the picture you will find three dots. I’ve checked this on iPhone and android, the location is the same.
Tap on the three dots and tap on “Remix Snap”.
On the left, tap on the face icon and it should start scanning for your face. In some cases, nothing happens. But if you can see your eyes and mouth in some part of the snap, just face your phone away from your face and tap on the remix icon on the bottom center of the screen.

Tap on the “Send To” button at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Find the person you want to send the fake snap to and tap on the blue send icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
