Before You Start Troubleshooting.

  • First check if your device, be it your computer or your other device, has an internet connection. For e.g. If you use WiFi to access the internet connection, make sure that you are properly connected to the access point, and your system is using a LAN connection, make sure the LAN cable is plugged in and has power.
  • Despite a proper connection to the access point, if you are seeing a “Limited connection” icon for the connection there is some issue with the internet connection itself.
To solve, this kind of error just restart your router physically or access the router’s options page from a browser and see if all the settings are correct and reboot the router.
  • If you’ve got no idea on how to troubleshoot your router, get some help from someone who does.
  • Try connecting to the internet and the service specifically from any other mobile device or computer.
  • If the problem is of the router or the internet connection and not your computer, proceed with the following mentioned measures to try and solve this issue.

DNS Probe Finished No Internet Fixes

Fix.1 Rogue Killer And SENDORI

I have read it on lots of forums that users have found “Rougekiller” to be the solution. It totally makes sense as we are connected to the internet, chances are our system might get infected with malware or viruses. These malware might reside on our memory and restrict the system from complete access to the internet.

Download Rougekiller, install it on the infected system and scan if any threats persist on your computer.

Another malware that might be the reason for most of your internet and DNS issues is SENDORI. SENDORI messes up your DNS settings and as a result your internet connection as well resulting in dns probe finished no internet error. To remove this malware, use an updated antivirus (free on might do).

Alternatively, open up your computer in Safe mode and uninstall a software named SENDORI that might be on your applications list.

Fix2. CMD

Open Command Prompt in administrator mode first.

  • Open start menu and search for “CMD”. Right click on CMD and click on “Run As Administrator” and select “Yes”.

After getting into CMD, execute following commands by simply copying and pasting.

First, lets see if the internet is working.

  • Ping google.com –t
  • Ping yahoo.com –t
  • Ping facebook.com –t
  • Finally ping the website that is giving you the dns_probe_finished_no_internet error.

If your internet connection is fine, you should see “Request Timeout” error for only the final website. If not, there is a problem with the internet connection, contact your ISP and ask for assistance.

Commands

  • netsh winsock reset
  • ipconfig /flushdns
  • netsh int ip reset C:\resetlog.txt
  • ipconfig /release
  • ipconfig /renew

Finally, do not forget to restart your computer after executing these commands, before checking to see if the issue has been solved.

Now check to see if you are still receiving the error after restarting the system, if yes, move on to another solution.

Fix 3: DNS SETTINGS

In the previous step, you reset the DNS address and the IP addresses, but if you are forcing your PC to use a certain DNS server address or an IP address, it might not be fixed.

We advise you to revert the settings back to default i.e, obtain an address automatically

  • Open control panel from the start. Or open RUN and type “control” and hit enter.
  • Open “network and sharing center”.
  • Select “Change adapter settings”.
  • From the next window, choose the network adapter that you use to connect to the internet and Right click > Properties.
  • Now from the next window that pops up, open up IPv6 and IPV4 settings in turns.
  • For each of them, select “Obtain and address automatically” and also “Obtain a DNS automatically” and save.
  • After this you might need to execute the above mentioned commands once again.

Fix 3.1 Open DNS

If none of the above mentioned methods tend to work, you might as well try and use Google’s Open DNS server address.

  • Open control panel and open network and sharing center
  • Select Change adapter settings.
  • Choose the adapter that you use to connect to the internet and right click on it and go to properties.
  • From the window that pops up, open up IPv4 by double clicking on it.
  • Now you must see that the option “Obtain a DNS server address automatically should be selected.
  • What I want you to do is, I want you to select the option just under that reads “Use the following DNS Server Address.
  • Now enter the preferred DNS server address in the boxes that get unlocked.
  • If you want to use Google’s Open DNS server address, i.e. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
  • Hit “OK” apply and restart your device by right clicking on the adapter and disabling it and re-enabling it after.

If none of these solves your dns probe finished no internet issue, just relax and reboot your router and contact your ISP.

Because in most of the cases, the problem is mostly in the ISP or the website’s server side and we can do nothing about it.
