Best Windows 10 features and installation guide

Microsoft wanted to change the way we understood windows and the way one could consume their daily dose of internet or computer uses with the Windows 8. But what turned out to be is a operating system that proved that Microsoft didn’t do enough research or just focused a certain group of people with its release of windows 8. The charm bar, metro UI and other features like the Windows store all sounded really interesting but when it came to serving the best UI for computing, they didn’t work as expected. Though some find it really really better than earlier versions of windows, like windows 7 or XP (It is better than XP), there are other group that find these features a waste of time and many of them miss the start button.

Moving on, Microsoft was anticipated to come out with a brand new version of windows that might looked like windows 8 and resemble with its metro style look and feel and called Windows 9, what happened is Microsoft skipped 9 and announced windows 10 as a major update to windows 8. Why name it windows 10, you ask? Microsoft explains that it packs alot of major style and internal updates and changes that calling it windows 9 would not be fair. Now, lets about whats new in the lates version of windows and whats still to come.

Windows 10 Technical Preview

What’s new in windows 10 ?

Start Menu :

Windows-10-start-menu

No doubt, this is the first thing that comes when one talks about the new windows 10. Yes, the classic start menu feature is back in windows 10 and this time it looks way much better than the previous start menus. The startmenu is resizable, highly customizable and supports the modern metro UI tiles with quick and better online/offline search.

Apps run under same workspace

The biggest pain with windows 8 was that the apps that you install from the appstore or the modern UI apps opened up in separate interface and other windows apps on different interface, that made multitasking a lot tougher and complicated. On windows 10 you will be able to run both types of apps on the same screen or interface and this saves you the trouble of switching between two different interfaces for the app that you are currently using.

Better way to switch and manage apps

You can argue that this feature looks quite similar and inspired from other operating systems available now. Windows 10 now provides a multiple desktop feature that can help you get all the things done on a same computer without messing up between them. Like you can user messengers or play games on one screen and do your work stuffs on the other. That way you will keep your desktop organized and you will have everything you need in one place. This feature looks inspired from Linux, but who cares as long as you get to use them on windows.

So, these three are the major changes one will find when you install the windows 10 technical preview. Sow, if you do not know how you can install windows 10 on your PC, just follow the following mentioned tutorial.
